Life is short; try to cram all into it you can.
There are a great many things I haven’t done in my life that I wish I had. Timing, circumstances, miscalculated decisions…. Writing allows me the opportunity to live vicariously those things I missed. And who knows, maybe I’ll still do them in the future.
My careers have provided me with the opportunity to work in the publishing field as well as law enforcement. From both professions I have learned a great deal and met and associated with wonderful people. As a detective, I am passionate about investigations; I have seen people at their best and worst. I work with men and women who humble me by their commitment to helping others.
Fiction gives me the chance to make sense of reality. The characters I write about will be conflicted. Sometimes they will make poor choices with the best intentions; sometimes they will make good choices in spite of themselves. Sometimes they will be good and fall, and sometimes they cannot be redeemed. My choice would be to confine the horrors of reality to a story.
I recently published Trading Lives available on Amazon Kindle and in paperback. I am currently working on the second novel in a series featuring Jamie Kelly and Joe Rampone from Trading Lives.
